MAURICE’S COMMON SENSE APPROACH TO THE Benefits of Beef
Discover how Irish grass-fed beef from our farm provides essential nutrients, supports health, and enhances your diet with rich, flavourful protein, essential vitamins and fats.
Let's shake on it...
A promise from me to you- because The Long Acre is a small farm, I won’t always be able to provide the shop with cattle I raised myself. I guarantee that any local farm that I personally source cattle from, will only become a producer and supplier once they get The Long Acre stamp of approval- that means it will remain top quality, ethically produced beef, and follow the same journey as The Long Acre cattle from farm to fork.

The Long Acre
There are countless reasons why I believe our grass-fed beef should be on your dinner plate, but here are my top 7 points for today!
1. Natural and Pure
Traditional breeds like Hereford and Angus beef from our farm is never injected with hormones or unnecessary antibiotics, ensuring a more natural and wholesome product for you.
2. High-Quality Nutrition
Our traditional grass-fed beef is packed with essential fats and nutrients like high-quality protein, iron, zinc, and B vitamins, vital for maintaining a healthy diet and strong immune system.
3. Healthier Animals
We only use products similar to Ivermechtin which is used on humans, as an anti-parasitic, which ensures our animals live happy and healthy lives, free from internal parasites, contributing to the overall quality of the beef.
4. Safe and Residue-Free
The anti-parasitic medicines used in our cattle has left their system several months before slaughter, ensuring that the beef you consume is safe and free from medication residues because by this time, the cattle, now more mature in age have developed a stronger immune system to fight off parasites.
5. Flavorful and Tender
Traditional breeds of beef, such as hereford, angus and shorthorn are renowned for its rich, natural flavor and tenderness, providing a superior taste experience compared to commercial-grade beef.
6. Ethical Farming Practices
Our cattle are raised with care and respect, following ethical farming practices that prioritize the animals’ well-being and the environment.
7. Better Than Commercial Beef
While not quite organic, our beef surpasses commercial standards by avoiding the intensive practices common in commercial farming, offering you a healthier and more ethically produced product.
